  Brazilian airline pilots and flight attendants have announced a large-scale indefinite strike for next Monday which will paralyze for 2 hours the country's major carriers and their operations at the main air terminals, the National Union of Aeronauts (SNA) announced.

  Uruguayan embassy seeks humanitarian flight for 13 nationals stranded in Peru

  

  The Uruguayan Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is working to transfer in humanitarian flights for Uruguayans stranded in Peru after the decree of state of emergency came into force. Since Pedro Castillo was ousted and Dina Boluarte assumed the presidency, 12 people have died in clashes with security forces and six in roadblocks, with great mobilizations expected for Friday.

It comes after it was confirmed 750 military personnel are sent to be deployed to cover ambulance strikes as UK prepares to be hit by a wave of industrial action in the coming weeks.

  New Faces, Same Objective: Falkland Islands Association AGM in London

  

  Last week saw the first face-to-face AGM of the Falkland Islands Association since the pandemic began in 2020. It was held at the Abbey Centre in Westminster. About fifty members were present in person. But another fifty took part - some of them from the Falklands – via Zoom. This was a major improvement on earlier AGMs when decisions could be taken only by those actually present. All future AGMs will be done this way.

  Peruvian President Dina Bolurte declared a 30-day nationwide state of emergency Wednesday following violent demonstrations and riots in various parts of the country, which have so far resulted in eight deaths and over a hundred law enforcement officers wounded.
