  By Gwynne Dyer - Alternativ fur Deutschland (AfD) means ‘The Alternative for Germany’ — and the alternative on offer is fascism. Not actual Nazism, but the AfD uses fascist rhetoric and tactics to attract German voters. It has also attracted some improbable foreign admirers.
