  “Positive” cruise season for Punta Arenas; planning a 34% increase for 2019/20

  

  For Punta Arenas, extreme south of Chile, this last cruise season was “positive” while the coming 2019/20 is expected to be even better with some 130 calls and over 94.000 passengers with an estimated increase of 34%, according to Patricia Lopez Manieu, General Manager of the Austral Ports Company, EPA, from Punta Arenas.

  “Punta Arenas best cruise season in six years”, with 77.248 visitors and 121 calls

  

  Punta Arenas port authorities, in the extreme south of Chile, reported that during this 2015/16 cruise season there was a 35% increase in the number of cruise visitors, 77.248 passengers, and 121 vessel calls, one of the most encouraging in the last decade.
