Privately owned Brazilian agribusiness group Itaquere has filed for bankruptcy protection to restructure 482 million reais (US$ 127 million) of debt, according to a letter from management reported in the media.
The Uruguayan plant of the Japanese airbag manufacturer Takata, which has filed for bankruptcy protection in the United States and Japan, will continue to operate normally, Takata Uruguay plant manager José Enrique Alonso explained.
