According to a foreign trade report issued by the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP) on Friday in Asunción, the South American country suffered a 25.4% drop in corn exports in October compared to the same period last year.
Argentina's Agriculture Minister has decided to up the number of requirements and restrictions on corn exports after the sector reached the exportable balance of 38.5 million tons, it was reported.
Argentina has lifted a suspension on corn exports announced in December and will opt instead for a temporary 30,000 tons daily cap on sales abroad, its agriculture ministry said on Monday, backing off the more restrictive measure that had infuriated farmers in the South American grains powerhouse.
