    Gibraltar and UK delegations discuss Brexit at the Rock

    Spanish MEP Jauregui Atondo, tabled a question before the European Parliament in which he said that Gibraltar ‘facilitates tax evasion and financial crime’.

    Gibraltar Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, has written to the European Commission in order to set the record straight following ‘misinformation’ about Gibraltar propagated by a Spanish MEP. This comes after the Spanish MEP, Ramon Jauregui Atondo, tabled a question before the European Parliament in which he said that Gibraltar ‘facilitates tax evasion and financial crime’.

    Gibraltar protests to Brussels that Spain is again causing disruption and delays at the border

    Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia noted the arrival of the tourist season once again coincided with disruption and delays at the border

    Gibraltar has accused Spain of having chosen once again not to behave as European partners as a result of the latest pedestrian delays at the border.     The Gibraltar Government has included the long queues of last Thursday afternoon at the frontier with Spain in its latest report to the European Union.
