  Google fined €220 million in France to settle abuse of power in online advertising

  

  BLOOMBERG – Google has agreed to pay €220 million and end anti-competitive practices, to settle a French antitrust probe over its abuse of power in online advertising. The French Competition Authority said Google has been unfairly sending business to its advertising server and its online ad auction house, to the detriment of rivals. In addition to the fine, Google promised to remedy the situation by improving the interoperability of its Google Ad Manager services for third parties.

  Humpback whale found dead in a beach in southern France

  

  Suprise in the Mediterranean, a humpback whale was found dead on Wednesday on a beach in southern France, in what experts said was a rare incident. The seven-meter-long animal was evacuated from the beach at Carnon, near the seaside town of La Grande-Motte, and was to undergo an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

  Ecofriendly fuel mixture of waste and cooking oil used in commercial flight from France to Canada

  

  French carrier Air France filled the tanks of an Airbus A-350 bound for Canada with a mixture of kerosene with 16 per cent biomass which should significantly reduce CO2 emissions, the airline announced.

  Argentine Navy takes delivery of brand new patrol vessel in France

  

  The Argentine Navy last week took delivery in Concarneau, France, of the brand new Ocean Patrol Vessel (OPV) 87 ARA Piedrabuena which is expected to arrive at its future home base in Mar del Plata to start operating along with her sister ship of the Gowind class, the ARA Bouchard, it was reported.
