  Spanish trawler sinks in Canadian waters: 7 dead, many missing

  

  A Spanish-flagged trawler has sunk Tuesday off the Newfoundland coast in eastern Canada, killing at least seven people while rescue efforts were underway to find the rest of the crew. Three survivors have been found, and a lifeboat is still missing. Hence hopes are high others could have made it through.

  Falklands' trawler catches fire and sinks at Vigo port; probable total losses

  

  A Falkland Islands trawler “Baffin Bay” has sunk at the Galician port of Vigo where it was undergoing maintenance work. The Falklands' Department of Natural Resources reported that on the morning of Thursday 3 December 2020 it was advised of a fire onboard Fishing Vessel “Baffin Bay” while she was berthed at Bouzas in Vigo.

  New state of the art Falklands' trawler, Montelourido, delivered in Galicia

  

  Montelourido, ZDLC4, is the latest trawler to be launched at a Galician shipyard for the Falklands flagged fleet. The delivery took place this Monday at Nodosa yard in Marin, during a very austere and limited ceremony because of the pandemic, and will operate along her sister vessel on Falklands fishing grounds.
