To mark the conclusion of the 110th anniversary of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association this year, the CPA has published a special anniversary book showcasing over 180 Parliament buildings around the Commonwealth and giving an insight into their varied histories. The historic Parliament buildings of Anguilla, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, St Helena, Turks and Caicos Islands and the Virgin Islands (BVI) are featured in this new book.

The Gibraltar Chronicle is reporting that this Friday saw the first official cruise call to the Rock since the pandemic started. “Wind Surf”, from Windstar Cruises arrived at 8.00 am and was expected to depart Gibraltar at 18.00 hours, local time. Gibraltar was included in its itinerary as part of their Mediterranean Cruise.
Wizz Air has cancelled all Gibraltar flights to Luton for August saying it needs to meet higher demand in other European countries. Minister for Business and Tourism, the Hon Vijay Daryanani MP, said: “We understand Wizz Air’s need to remain flexible to client demands.
HMS Prince of Wales arrived in Gibraltar on Tuesday 6 July for a programmed logistics visit. This inaugural visit to Gibraltar will also be her first non-UK port visit.
The UK has ratified the International Agreement on Taxation and the Protection of Financial Interests between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Kingdom of Spain regarding Gibraltar.
The UK Government has included Gibraltar in the UK Community Renewal Fund for 2021-22. This means that projects in Gibraltar will be eligible for funding up to a maximum of half a million pounds.
British Overseas Territory Gibraltar received on Saturday the first consignment of the COVID-19 vaccine supplied by the UK. The vaccine supplied is the Pfizer BioNTech, which has been given to the vast majority of people that have received a COVID-19 vaccination in the U.K.
The Falkland Islands government, FIG, has established a vaccination planning group, although there is not a delivery date for the Covid 19 doses to be sent from the United Kingdom.
