  Mapuche forestry worker Segundo Catril Neculqueo, aged 66, died Tuesday afternoon after an armed attack in the Chilean commune of Lumaco, in Araucanía, while one of the two other victims is still hospitalized.

  Chile: Rebel groups strike again in Araucanía

  

  Mapuche rebels in southern Chile shot a lorry driver along Route 5 Friday morning in La Araucanía and later burned down his vehicle. The trucker was rushed to a hospital nearby in serious condition.
