  Corbyn's leadership questioned: Labour MPs submit no confidence motion

  

  A motion of no confidence in Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has been submitted by two Labour MPs. Dame Margaret Hodge has submitted a motion - seconded by backbencher Ann Coffey - to the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP), her office said.

  HSBC executives have been accused by MPs of incompetence for saying they were unaware of tax evasion activities in their Swiss private bank. However Chris Meares, the ex-head of HSBC's private banking division, said he didn't know what staff “were up to”.

  Third largest deal in corporate history: 130bn dollars for 45% stake in Verizon Wireless

  

  Vodafone has sold its 45% stake in Verizon Wireless to US telecoms group Verizon Communications in one of the biggest deals in corporate history. The 130bn dollars deal was announced by Vodafone after the close of trading on the London Stock Exchange.
