  Argentina's Justice Minister Mariano Cúneo Libarona is facing calls for his resignation after a video was leaked showing him offering to help former CIA agent Timothy Ballard clean up his public image.   Argentina: former Ministry of Women's “ideological” programs terminated

  

  Argentina's Libertarian Government has closed 13 ideologically-oriented programs from the former Ministry of Women, Genders, and Diversities, to reduce public spending, Justice Minister Mariano Cúneo Libarona explained. These mechanisms were in force between 2020 and 2023 during the administration of Alberto Fernández's administration. The new decision will result in substantial savings to the country's coffers.

  $LIBRA scandal: Milei's legal team yet to be appointed

  

  The Argentine Government explained Tuesday that Justice Minister Mariano Cúneo Libarona would not be stepping down to defend President Javier Milei in the so-called $LIBRA cryptofiasco. Instead, the Anticorruption Office as well as judiciary authorities would handle the investigations into the case, Spokesman Manuel Adorni said. “He is the Minister of Justice and is devoted to his specific functions in the Ministry,” Adorni stressed about Cúneo Libarona. Regarding Milei's legal counseling, he admitted that the team was yet to be appointed.
