The Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce has welcomed the announcement of new air links to the UK and to Morocco, highlighting the tourism and business opportunities they will create. In a statement, it said the addition of the Gibraltar-Bristol route would open up additional markets for visitors, both business people and tourists, from Wales and the south west of England.
Neil Costa, Gibraltar Minister for Tourism, Commercial Affairs, Public Transport and the Port, has welcomed the introduction of new port fee discounts and said they will further enhance the competitiveness of the Port of Gibraltar.
In a bid to attract more cruise ships to Gibraltar, the Minister for the Port, Neil Costa, has announced changes to the Port Rules, which regulate the amount of discount on passenger dues. The amendment allows ‘repositioning’ calls from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean or vice-versa to benefit from a 100% markdown on passenger dues.
