  Bank of Spain estimates the country climbed out of recession in third quarter

  

  Spain climbed out of recession in the third quarter, growing 0.1% from the previous three-month period to end a streak of nine consecutive quarters of contraction, the Bank of Spain estimated Wednesday in its latest economic bulletin.

  Unemployment in Spain with no ceiling: 27% in first quarter of 2013

  

  The Spanish National Statistics Institute, INE, reported on Thursday that the nation's unemployment rate shot up from 26.02% in the last quarter of 2012 to 27.16% in the first three months of this year. This is approximately 6.2 million Spaniards are out of a job. Youth unemployment stands at 57%.
