Uruguay y Chile elogiados en la Muestra sobre Shackleton.
Los embajadores de Uruguay y Chile fueron huéspedes distinguidos en la inauguración de la mayor exhibición dedicada a la memoria del famoso explorador antártico, Sir Ernest Shackleton que tuviera lugar en el Colegio Dulwich de Londres. La ayuda y apoyo de estos países en el rescate de algunos de los hombres de la expedición del Endurance en 1914, mereció gran elogio durante la ceremonia.

Duke of Edinburgh Unveils Royal Marines Memorial.
The Royal Marines Memorial in the Mall, London, renovated with a £15,000 (22,000 dollar) contribution from the Falkland Islands Government, has been formally unveiled by the Duke of Edinburgh, Captain General Royal Marines (on 29th October). Several Royal Marines who fought in the 1982 Conflict were present.

Helicopter flights help preserve penguins. Navy and scientists join in South Georgia research.
Some of South Georgia's 800-thousand King Penguins are in for a surprise in the next few weeks, as helicopters from the Royal Navy's ice patrol vessel HMS Endurance make repeated flights over their colonies.

Uruguay and Chile Praised at Shackleton Exhibition good wishes from the Falkland Islands.
The Ambassadors of Uruguay and Chile were distinguished guests at the opening of a major exhibition commemorating the famous Antarctic explorer, Sir Ernest Shackleton , at Dulwich College in London, where their countries' help and support in rescuing some of his men from his 1914 Endurance expedition came in for praise.
