The Falkland Islands Trust (FIT) has expressed sadness on the death of its former long-serving Administrative Secretary, Mrs Doris Dodson, and paid tribute to her dedication and efficient work for the Trust .
She was recruited by FIT's founder chairman, General Nigel Gribbon in 1985, having formerly worked for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
After 26 years' with FIT, she retired two years ago. The Trustees, headed by their chairman, Air Commodore Peter Johnson, and his two predecessors, General Gribbon and Captain Paddy Vincent, said a fond farewell to her at a special lunch in London.
FIT sent flowers to her funeral and a card of condolence to her family, and made a donation to her church, Saint Mary's in Newington, London.
