News Editor Corina Goss who has been gracing the airwaves at the Falkland Islands Broadcasting Station for the last ten years is leaving.
On Saturday she'll be heading for pastures greener in the United Kingdom.
During her career at the broadcasting station she has met many colorful and important people, including War correspondent Max Hastings, who made the headlines with a number of cutting remarks about the Islands.
She also had to face major changes within the structure of the station itself after Broadcasting officer Patrick Watts retired.
This change saw the news and the programming departments being split after the introduction of Station manager Steve Johnston who was employed to bring the local radio station into the 21st Century.
It was at this time that Corina was appointed News Editor.
The twentieth Anniversary year brought a change that no one could have foreseen when the Falklands War veterans arrived in the Islands.
For most it was the first time they had set foot on Falklands soil since 1982 and was an emotional but joyous time. And Corina met the man she wanted to spend her life with, ex marine John McQue.
As well as the responsible job of News Editor Corina was also an enthusiastic member of the Falkland Islands Defence Force.
She has been a pleasure to work with and will be an asset to her next venture.
