Uruguay: Expo Prado sales reach 400,000 US dollars.

Sales in the main Uruguayan Agriculture show that closed doors until next September, reached 391,695 US dollars but the sum could jump to over 400,000 once the off track private sales are fully recorded.

Ibarra reelected Buenos Aires mayor.

Buenos Aires Mayor Anibal Ibarra won reelection in Sunday's municipal and regional balloting, defeating businessman Mauricio Macri. The victory is also a great achievement for President Kirchner who openly supported Ibarra when he was trailing by 20 points in the opinion polls.

New satellite monitoring system comes into force this week.

The argentine government is launching the new satellite monitoring system this week to replace the Monpesat system, which ceased operating almost two years ago. The new system, designed for the offshore fleet operating in domestic waters, will come into operation on 17 September
