    A vessel loaded with radioactive residual materials left this Monday from Australia en route to France and one of the optional routes is Cape Horn, claim Greenpeace activists in Sydney and Argentina. The other is Cape of Good Hope.

    Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's main foreign policy advisor Marco Aurelio García forecasted that the United States sponsored Free Trade Association of the Americas, FTAA, could become effective according to the tentative timetable but “in a far less embracing way than Washington pretends”.

    Falkland Islander Tony Blake says he believes that it is “erroneous and dangerous” for Falkland Islanders not to be represented at meetings concerning Islanders because “we should be able to clarify some points that people like to make about the Falklands and in a friendly manner persuade people that the impressions that they have of the Islands are wrong.”

    Portillo: 21-years on positions are clear.

    Michael Portillo MP said Monday night that he thinks both the United Kingdom and Argentine positions are clear regarding the Falkland Islands and have not changed that he does not foresee that they will change and that the best thing is to leave them (sovereignty negotiations) to one side and look for ways to expand upon links between the two countries.
