Madonna is coming to Argentina and Chile sometime in December according to reports in the Argentine edition of the Rolling Stones magazine, quoting sources from the record industry in Buenos Aires.
The proposed dates for her promotion of "Hard Candy" in Buenos Aires are December 4,5 and 7 and the location the city's Monumental stadium belonging to the local soccer team River Plate which in the past has hosted other rock grand stars and concerts such as the Rolling Stones. The confirmation follows the recent announcement from Madonna who said she would end her Hard and Candy record tour with presentations in Mexico and Latinamerica. Her tour will begin after concluding her "Sticky & Sweet tour 2008" shows in United States, the last of which is scheduled in Miami on November 26th. However her official web site has not confirmed countries of dates. Following on the press reports the company Time For Fun (T4F) which is organizing Madonna's South American tour is expecting each of the three shows should collect an average 6 million US dollars. However given the strength of the Chilean peso and the fact that the dearest tickets should be in the range of 40 to 50 US dollars, organizers are optimistic about at least one presentation in Santiago. The Santiago organizers have in the past set up the stage for massive concerts such as those of Chris Cornell, Soda Stereo, Blue Man Group, High School Musical, Evanescense, and this year Monsters of Rock, Dream Theater, Megadeth and the Bodies exhibit. In the near future they have scheduled Joe Satriani and the Cirque du Soleil.
