”Argentina is free of all type of mines, with the exception of those planted in the Malvinas Islands which motivated Argentina to request and obtain a ten year de-mining extension, because Argentina currently does not have access to the Islands illegitimately occupied by the United Kingdom”. Disclaimer & comment rulesWell there is no fool like an old fool but I guess as the representative of a regime that works on the basis that you can fool all of the people for some of the time and some of the people for all of the time he is probably doing a good job as he sees it.
Jan 05th, 2010 - 08:41 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It would be even more ironic if we could show that he was party to planting the mines that are currently being cleared in the Falklands.
There can be no doubt that given that he was present in the islands in 1982 as part of the occupying forces that he must retain some culpability.
Hi, my last 2 comments were deleted. It seems that liberty of expression is refused in this webpage.
Jan 06th, 2010 - 12:38 am - Link - Report abuse 0I just wanted to know who wrote this article. As we can see in the last paragragh, where it says:
General Balza, who forgets to mention in his column that the thousands of antipersonnel mines still in the Falklands were planted by the retreating Argentine forces in 1982
Who is saying that Balza forgets?, i mean, i cant fine a more biased article and with the less objectivity to write about.
Luis, you stole that question from my thinking. I was going to ask the same. It is clearly now that this is an islander webpage radicated in Montevideo.

Jan 06th, 2010 - 12:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Fellow Argies. Don't waste your time responding to this 'Uruguayan” page. (Actually a British Intelligence Mouthpiece). These ungrateful fools seem to have forgotten that if it wasn't for the Argentines they would and be speaking Portuniol in a Brazilian Autonomous State. What would be of their country if it wasn't for all of the Argentine money and investment in their economy? Not much I would say.
Jan 06th, 2010 - 04:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Tsk, those pesky Uruguayans thinking independently for themselves, as usual the arrogant assertion that they OWE everything to Argentina. I suppose they might be a tadge upset at the unjustified blockade of those bridges and the Argentine attempted interference in their economy, not to mention the blatant lies and false accusations of pollution in those paper mills. Better to think its all a foreign conspiracy designed to bring Argentina down, after all nothing is ever Argentina's fault.
Jan 06th, 2010 - 06:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0exocet82, the uruguayans are not the problem, they are a good people AND OUR BROTHERS!!! and this webpage is not made by them.
Jan 07th, 2010 - 01:32 am - Link - Report abuse 0Justin, first, Argentina's government is not blocking Uruguay bridges. Secondly, We dont say Uruguayan what to produce, what to sell. We dont interfere. We have interest as they have interest in our economy cause we are partners in Mercosur.

Unbelievable, this guy knows everything.
No the Argentine Government isn't blocking the bridges, neither is it removing the protestors that are. And Argentina isn't telling them what they can and can't do, the case in the ICJ is a figment of my imagination is it?
Jan 07th, 2010 - 08:54 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Jorge, when the ICJ rule in Uruguay's favour, you can kiss my hairy backside.
