    What you just don't get is handing Gibraltar “back” to Spain, or Ceuta “back” to Morocco or the Falkland Islands “back” to Argentina (who never had them in the first place) and ignoring the people who live there, is treating them just like they were cattle to be bought and sold, and it is that which is wrong.

    UK ignored and attack the argentine people living in malvinas in 1833; Uk has a record in her history of treating people like cattle to be bought and sold; not argentina.

    Justin, are you the POV-pusher who owns Gibraltar's article in wikipedia? You really are obsessed, aren't you, bloke?
    If Argentina has never had the Falklands, then Morocco never had Ceuta. Gibraltar, on the other hand... Is a colony, you know.

    Fair enough Sñr Kuntz, poor choice of words on my part. I was just trying to illustrate how absurd and unworkable the “give it back” argument is. Where would it end? Should Spain be given “back” to the Italians because Spain used to be ruled out of Rome?

    Actually Lola, Britain did not attack those living on the Falklands in 1833 and nor did they ignore them. Please read up a bit more about the subject and get your facts right.

    And Lola, since you so confidently state that Argentina has no record of treating people like cattle - may I draw your attention to the Conquest of the Desert, where Argentina treated people WORSE than cattle, can I also remind you of all those people who were rounded and “disappeared”. Even cattle do not get pushed out of the back of aircraft alive...

    Its very easy to shout 'Give it back'<br />
    <br />
    But what is Gibraltar? Its the home of the Gibraltarian people who have been here for over 300 years, longer than the last Spanish settlers. We have built roads and houses - the old ones were knocked down by foreign cannon fire. We have built schools and hospitals, a telephone network, generating stations, desalination plant and are currently building a new GBP 50m airport terminal. Gibraltar is economically self-sufficient and its OUR home, it is not for sale and even less are we giving it away to anyone, EVER. <br />
    <br />
    So Jorge, if you still want that which is mine and to steal my childrens future, come and try and take it, but write a will first.<br />
    <br />
    PS: No Richard, its not 'a Colony', Shame on you.
