No doubt she'll sign away what natural resources Argentina has in return for out of date weapons and support for the recovery of Falklands Islands.

Somehow, i don't think that will happen.

The UN has stated that the Falklands belong to the Islanders. The only chance of Argentina ever getting there hands on it, is if some how they manage to convince the population that Argentina is the right choice.

But giving the current dilema, coupled with the history, that will never happen.

Lets not forget, that International law, the UN, and everyother country with an accurate account of History has said that the Falklands never has belonged to Argentina.

Besides, I like what the former President has to say about it's current regime........... Nail and Head springs to mind.

    @Nicholas
I don’t know mate but Argentina won the contract to build the nuclear reactor in Australia one of UK’s clients. That tell you something?

They choose Argentina’s project among Canadian, USA, Germany, France and UK projects due to be more advanced and convenient than the old technology used by UK heritage from USA.

Medicine, Biotechnology, Bio fuel, clean energy, Satellites, software and communications devices.

    Now my question for you:

Tell me what has UK to offer to be sold to the rest of the world?

Ah! yes fish & chips and stolen oil from Iraq and Malvinas.

You are so ignorant that British have no idea that the Canary Warf in UK and the tallest building in UK (One Canada Square) was designed by an Argentinean architect called Cesar Pelli, Universidad Nacional de Tucumán.

And that one of your best writers in Britain was an Argentinean called Guillermo Enrique Hudson (you know him as William Henry Hudson). Born in Florencio Varela Buenos Aires Argentina.

Jim Rogers and investors are right UK is already broke and the only supporting the EQ policy in UK are people like these Bankers (especial the Arab) that UK is giving easy money from taxpayers to save themselves and later fly away. But also education in Britain is broke better you start to learn Chinese else would be very painfully.

    Fabian

How is education in the UK broke?

I am a career academic in a UK University and from my perspective the UK HE Market is growing significantly. I travel regularly to China, South Korea, Brunei, Singapore, Hong Kong, Uganda and Kenya (flying business class of course) and have students from these any many other countries who are all paying to study in the UK. Just because central government funding is being slightly cut does not indicate UK education is financially screwed.

UK universities have a much better profile than those in Argentina so please make sure you can back up your arguments with valid sources.

Yes, Fabian, Beef is right. UK education is far from broken!

Just check out a few of the University rankings:

The QS World University Ranking top 100 for 2009
    Number of UK universities: 18
    Number of ARG universities: zero

The HEEACT ranking top 50 for 2009
    Number of UK universities: 4
    Number of ARG universities: zero

The Webometrics top 500 for 2009
    Number of UK universities: 35
    Number of ARG universities: 1

The Jiao Tong Academic rankings top 500 for 2009
    Number of UK universities: 152
    Number of ARG universities: 1

The UK produces about twice as many graduates per capita than Argentina, but even so, Argentina's institutions are under-performing massively.

I suspect that the first contributor in this thread has the most accurate perception of this Russian visit. But then, who cares. The UK and Russia are hardly 'friendly' these days so their attitude does not impress, rather the contrary. Any old weapons that Argentina gets hold of are unlikely to be sufficient to assert any claim over the Falklands.

Those islands DO belong to the islanders - end of story !
