Gibraltar Chief Minister Peter Caruana gave the warmest welcome the Rock could give to a new Foreign Secretary as he described William Hague, former Tory leader, as a “safe pair of hands” from Gibraltar's perspective. Read full article
Let's be honest and fair about this. In terms of seats, the LibDems are a minority. David Cameron has made it clear that the British Government will maintain its position and there will be no backward steps either on Gibraltar or the Falkland Islands. ......Says the racist as he calls everyone who does not conform to his views as Pirates....no wonder their sentiments are shared with such thinking as above who can blame Gibraltar and the Falklands for thinking the way they do....
Racist? Latins are European, aren't they? But then, anyone who goes around alluding to people as kelpers might be an authority on racism? Not to mention being an ignorant dago.
I would love to see Jorge in all his Nationalistic fire and brimstone come to Gibraltar and call them Pirates but nay he never would because he doesn't have the guts and can safely call people names from behind his keyboard.
A wonderful place Gibraltar warm friendly inviting people, proud of their links with Britain and so multicultural everyone speaks Spanish as their mother tongue and you find Jews, Morrocons in fact over 80 different nationalities inhabit the rock all in perfect harmony, and all united by their common wish to decide their own destiny.
Even the Spanish don't care anymore fewer and fewer people every year in Spain support the claim, last opinion poll showed less than 40% of Spaniards supported the claim, an even greater % just didn't care, thats down 50% from 30 years ago!
Perhaps Argentina should be taking lessons from the Falklands and Gibraltar, who have put the wishes of the people before small term political gain and presidential vanity....
