A polar air mass settled in Argentina the week of July 13, pushing temperatures down across the country and causing rare snowfall in the Buenos Aires province. People in downtown Buenos Aires City bundled up against the cold as temperatures ducked down near freezing. Read full article

I do pity the homeless in BA, they will feel it more.

Since there are so many people living in slums you should actually pity them more, they use cheap, sometimes homemade, gas fired space heaters that emit carbon monoxide and kill everyone on their sleep. Wait until Monday to see how many people died from asphyxiation.

A march; that won´t do any good! The government has already announced that gas supply is going as planned.

I had, at first, no intention of commenting this weather article but then I read your “witty” comments.

At first, you use the news from a third word country to ”amuse yourself” about poor people freezing to death.

Then, when made aware that similar things are happening in your own “first word country”, your only reaction is to try to “shoot the messenger”.

As I have said before, you use the news in here to feel better and finer. (democracy, navy, human rights, missiles, money whatever...)
And at the same time tolerate these “winter death sentences” for the aged....

This old people dying are not “miserable parasites” that don’t want to work.... They are the generation that constructed your modern Britain.

This thread exemplifies perfectly your unawareness about your own system.......
“Much funnier to spit in the face of a far away country”......... “Our government is taking good care of everything here”.......... “The house is in perfect order”

Well, it is not, and continues not to be................:

    Just as i predicted..
“In addition to the deaths due to low temperatures, 33 people, including 11 children, died from carbon monoxide poisoning, a product of poor combustion in the heating system.”

Government controlled planning at it's best...

Due to cold, throughout the country, the former Energy Secretary Jorge Lapeña today confirmed that “there is a serious problem in the energy sector” “the solution will require time and money.”

And added that “Argentina is no longer an self-sufficient gas country because has difficulties in supplying its own demand.”

Nice to see the price controls on gas have ruined your energy sector and depleted your gas and oil reserves. Maybe you can get some oil from the Falklands.

Don't think so. I don't find death “amusing” especially as I am so close to it. What I do find worthy of ridicule is an Argentina more concerned with propaganda about its imperialist colonialist aspirations than the welfare of its own people. Try paying some in-depth attention to your own regime. The current Argentine government is clearly incapable of discharging what should be its prime responsibility. Unless increasing its own personal wealth is its prime goal.

There is no purpose in pointing at, or decrying, others. Set you own house in order first.
