I dislike the Empires historical interference as much as the avarage South American. But to realy believe in this case it is interference by the US is not only underestimating the intelligence of the avarage latino, but completely stupid. Do you actually believe this clowns story or are you just so biased against the US that you prefer to put on the blinkers? A whole contingent of armed police that cannot capture Correa in a Hospital? Hatred clouds reason.

What? They isolated Correa in the hospital, they did not capture him or tried to. And it was not just a mutiny of bitter policemen, Pedro. The revolt had some involvement by Luciano Gutierrez, a former president who has been involved in coup attempts against other presidents in Ecuador.

Just as one can't expect a poodle to bark at his owner, I wouldn't expect a British person to be skeptical towards the US.
You admit that they did not want to capture him? What kind of a coup is that? How do you stage a coup by isolating him without defense in a hospital - ha ha ha ha. Strange that Correa has now increased the Police salaries. Admit it, it was merely Policemen unhappy with losing their benefits. Of course Correa would blame Gutierrez and the US. How else can he hide his Authoritarian regimes dictatorial plans. What makes you think I am British? I am African and therefore knows all about corrupt bullshitting politicians.
