I seem to recall another charismatic dictator obsessed with his own image and the great “Socialist” revolution, who too seized land, ranches and farms and gave them to his own supporters, to hide the dreadful handling of the economy and heavily restricted freedom of speech and democracy, now what was his name again, ah thats the one “Mugabae” now what exactly happened to Zimbabwe then and their great socialist revolution against the white Imperialists.

This type of action as is copied by several other SA leaders. I am thinking CFK, Morales and Correa. They are the reason why Sa can ready itself for lots of dissent and even perhaps a real coup.

A country that is a major oil producer and suffers power shortages. A county that once exported coffee and now has to import as its production has fallen off a cliff. A country still in deep recession.

For most people this is an example of failure. In South America this appears to be a model that others wish to follow! Nuts?
