“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.”

Indec ... isn't that the organisation whose statistics are a bit questionable ?

Yeah, it seems Indec is not trustworthy. But even private estimates tend to portray Argentina's economic weather as favorable, even if in a lesser extent than suggested by Indec.

Forget, why don't you tell us which part of their economy they have changed in the last 7 years to make this “growth” real and sustainable? I know you are a book smart boy, give it a go will ya? Is it government spending looted money or just the depreciation of the peso? Which do you think will give out first?

And if everyone is praising this growth why is there such low foreign direct investment, I would guess everyone would want a piece of this?

The union members are killing each other in street protests, I bet it will be inflation that will burst this bubble pretty soon now.

Do you know this one? “ How does an Argentinian commit suicide? He climbs to the top of his ego and jumps off.”

Anyone get shot at a protest today? That's got to be good for the tourist season starting next month.

Worldmapper shows a relationship of 5:1 between USA: Argentina on violent deaths...that without war casualties.
Surely we have to improve it: being so near of US standards is very dangerous !

    Nevertheless, it´s off-toppic.

Why do Mexicans sneak across the border? What about the children being tortured and murdered in Ciudad Juárez?

I have lived in BA am I am back in DC because it's safer, cleaner, quieter, more civilized, just all around better. At least I don't fear for my life crossing the street or getting mugged in a restaurant.
How much cardboard do you need to scavenge to get a ticket here to come here, or right probably can't get a visa. Do you trade cardboard for internet time?
