“Bob Dudley, BP’s CEO, said the deal “further demonstrates both the high quality and attractiveness of the assets throughout BP’s global portfolio.” Dudley also made reference to his “company’s ability to meet [its] significant financial commitments arising from the Gulf of Mexico tragedy,” where a BP rig operated by Transocean caused the worst oil spill in the Gulf's history. Rivals Exxon Mobil criticized BP's handling of the situation.” BP, The Gulf of Mexico will never forget you haha

“The operation also marks the exit of BP from Argentina.” Good riddance, BP, see you never more.

This is funny, all the crap you RG's have been posting about the hazards of Falklands oil exploration and you've been in bed with BP all along, don't you just love Argentine hypocrisy.

“British Petroleum reached an agreement to...”
When the news are not about an oil spill they call it British Petroleum.

It will be interesting to see how these Chinese acquisitions in developing countries turn out. Neither the Chinese nor the various African and SA nations respect the rule of law so in the end it will be just a war of wills or maybe military force that ends the eventual disagreements. I really don't see loony Cfk or nutty Chavez standing up to them.
