Good to see HMS Gloucester waving the flag - presumably its not an 'illegal Falklands flag' :-)

p.s. did the Chilean government keep that decision quiet ?

Welcome to all the participants at the Chilean Exponaval, including HMS Gloucester representing not only the UK, but the Falklands Islands.
    Good luck for all.

I thought that Twinky told us, quite authoritatively, that HMS Gloucester wouldn't be appearing. Could that have been a mistake? Might it be that Chile has more time for the Royal Navy than some “mad cow” in the Casa Rosada?

“ Might it be that Chile has more time for the Royal Navy than some “mad cow” in the Casa Rosada?” And why should President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner have time for the Royal Navy? Piñera is a Pinochetist, Pinochetists always have time for the Royal Navy. Why are you surprised? And don't get all puffed up, in Chile, there are thousands of people who dislike President Piñera and don't forget what this pitiful maggot did in the past. But I don't understand why you think that this “South America’s main naval show takes off in Chile; HMS Gloucester present” tells something about President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner? Anyway, even though Chile is in South America, they've never felt South Americans, you can't change that, but they try it, it's some kind of shame, and the need for approval from the UK telling they're doing fine.

Looks like Chile has decided that the UK armed forces have a lot to offer and are happy for the defenders of the Falkland Islands to call in and say hi! Think does get ahead of himself occasionally but we forgive you Think.

No doubt Nico is of the impression that the Argentine armed force have much more to show and offer than the UK. Funny in the head that guy; bit like his loony, authoritarian president!

@7 I thought the “mad cow” in the Casa Rosada was insistent that no South American country would have anything to do with Britain.

Except for Brazil that has a defence agreement. Or Chile that invites the Royal Navy to South America's main naval show.

    Who's next?
