UK company secures contract to repair and maintain Chilean navy frigates

UK BAE Systems has secured a two year extended agreement with Chilean ship build and repair organisation ASMAR to provide support to the country's navy Type 22 and Type 23 frigates in a move that is set to enhance Chile's naval capability. Read full article

    now the brits are in chile, at least while we are keeping there ships afloat
    we know they will be fighting fit, who's looking after the argentina fleet
    or are they still in port where we left them lol

    Argentina is investing in it's navy. Four patrol boats, ohhh we are scared now. Honestly you couldn't make this up if you tried. The world needs comedy and with Argentina we get it in lorry loads.

    Malvinas issue was resumed during the beginning of this year after Britain decided to authorize new drilling operations in the watershed of the Malvinas Islands.

    The State Department remembered what happened in April 2009 and shows its interest on finding out if the Argentine government's answer to the British decision could damage the US companies [][[ does this not then prove that Argentina realy had no interest in the islands, untill britain did the drilling and noted oil, so without the oil argentina has no interest, with the oil, argentina loves the place, greed apon greed
