The European Union has strongly criticized European airports for failing to deal with recent freezing weather, which has left thousands of travellers stranded. Around 1,000 flights were cancelled across the continent on Tuesday. Read full article
A villa miseria is a form of shanty town or slum found in Argentina, mostly around the largest urban settlements. The term is a compound noun made of the Spanish words villa village, small town and miseria misery, dejection. The name was adopted from Bernardo Verbitsky's 1957 novel Villa Miseria también es América (Villa Miseria is also [a part of] America).
These settlements consist of small houses or shacks made of tin, wood, and/or other materials (whatever can be found). The streets are usually not paved — narrow internal passages may communicate the different parts. The villas miseria have no sanitation system, though there may be water pipes passing through the settlement. Electric power is sometimes taken directly from the grid using illegal connections (which are perforce tolerated by the power companies).
Think - my Masters was in Medical Ethics. Ethics, a trait that was left wanting during your occupation of the Islands.
The problem is Think, the Islanders have yet to hear an apology from any of the Argentine leaders post 1982. When Argentina is gracious enough to apologise for it's actions then I will see your nation in another light.
Until then you are bound by the dishonourable actions of your countrymen. As a collectivist you can accept that the actions of the few represent the many?
Beef, Ethics, a trait that was left wanting during your failed occupation of Buenos Aires in 1806 and 1807, Malvinas invasion of 1833 and also the failed blockade of 1845. I don't care about your false apologies just get the hell out of our islands.
Marcos - show me someone who is alive from 1806, 1807, 1833 or 1845 and I will petition my local MP to see if an apology to those individuals is requires.
You tried to take those Islands from the Islanders only 28 years ago and were taught a lesson will not forget. Time for a gracious climb down.
BTW - they are not my Islands. I own a peice of land in the UK. The Islands belong to the Islanders and are democratically administrated by the FIG.
You are up the creak without a paddle. Time to say sorry for imprisoning q civilian population.
The commander did express regret (hardly indiscriminate by the way) but all the deaths in the 1982 conflict were caused by Argentina. So any apology should come from your shower of cowards.
You were/are not wanted in the islands. You were told to get out but refused.
Then during the conflict you decided to fire from designated civilian (no fire) areas. Your troops also painted every building with a red cross on it as they new the British would not fire on such a building. They also used a school as an armoury. Unlike you we actually take the Geneva convention seriously.
Unfortunately you come from a nation were cowardes is a phenotypical trait.
the crew of the HS Bahia Pariso. Despite being clearly marked as a hospital ship and therefore a non-combatant, the crew of the Bahia Pariso illuminated the SF raiding party with ship mounted spotlights. The raiders were engaged by small arms fire from both the ship and from shore installations, resulting in three SF troops being wounded
Bahia Paraiso, was first used to carry the main invasion force to the Islands, then conveniently declared a hospital ship.I doubt she was ever inspected, unlike Uganda was at Gibraltar.
