I saw Cameron speech, soon after Mubarak got his rear end kicked out of office, he looked so scare, I wonder why. I am sure that British banks will folow the example of Switzerland, I don't think they will like to look like “pirates”...again.

It's pretty hard to be a government and not at sea and look like a pirate.

Infact, it's impossible. Learn the definition of the word.

Hang on, hang on ... premature ejactulation from Think and Co yet again!

Mubarak has not fled the country, but appears to have gone on holiday.

Mubarak has not handed over to a democratic organisation, but to the army!

When Egypt complains formally about any of Mubarak's assetts that it thinks may belong to the country, then I'm sure that all the countries that have such cash will consider what they can do. That may include Argentina?

While the army is in charge, I seriously doubt that Egypt will be making such a complaint. Switzerland has got in a bit early which may mean-

    a) it has most of Mubarak's cash and is embarrassed by the size of it, or

    b) it has hardly any of Mubarak's cash and is making a political point as it is so often in the firing line over it's banking policies.

Is PE a big problem in Argentina?

    Surprise?
“The British Guardian newspaper cites Middle Eastern sources placing the wealth of Mubarak and his family at somewhere between $40 billion and $70 billion”
“Other Mubarak funds are reportedly sitting in British banks”

“ ... Argentina has done so poorly in confronting money laundering and terrorism financing that it risks becoming the first G-20 nation on a blacklist of countries where financial transactions represent a high risk of criminal activity ...”

“Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir siphoned up to $9bn out of his impoverished country, according to the latest Wikileaks revelations. Diplomats quoted the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court as saying that much of the money may be stashed in London banks.”

@ 10 Redhoyt, where in the article is Argentina's name? Only in your head! You need a holiday.

As usual, the UK home for dictators and war criminals, they accept all kinds, but of course, with money.

MoreCrap & Exbrain - Argentina is quite efficient at money laundering so it occurred that Argentina may be the place to stash some cash.

Now ... where in the article is Britain's name?
