Moyano suspends strike, threatens the press and says workers want to share power

The head of Argentina’s powerful CGT Labour Confederation Hugo Moyano suspended the national strike and demonstration that was going to be held on Monday, but warned the government that their aim is to take the workers to “power.” Read full article

    “We workers want to reach power and this fact annoys many people, but that’s our aim and we will not desist,” Moyano continued.”

    So, this Argentinian union leader under investigation for international money-laundering and corruption
    (i) supports CFK party in government
    (ii) wants to be her vice-president
    (iii) wants power for the people (read: unions)

    This is redolent of Jimmy Hoffa (jury-tampering, bribery, fraud, prison),
    the Teamsters Union (mafia, corruption, extortion) and
    Richard Nixon (impeachment).

    It's like Hoffa standing for high office as Nixon's Vice President !
