Argentina’s powerful organized labour head, Hugo Moyano kept his pressure on the government saying that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, CFK, will seek re-election on October’s elections.

Likewise, the former teamster and head of the CGT Labour Confederation pointed out that he would like very much to see “a CGT member accompanying the president in the ballot ticket as vice presidential candidate”.

Since last week Argentine political circles have been exposed to rumours indicating that a powerful ally of Moyano, and coincidently CGT attorney, lawmaker Héctor Recalde is seen as a possible vice presidential candidate.

The very same Recalde who is a lawmaker belonging to the Kirchner group “Victory Front” told a local newspaper, “I have no doubt that I’m going to be the vice presidential candidate.”

Nevertheless, Moyano remarked that “it’s up to the president to define who will be running along with her”.

Asked about the request of information sent by a Swiss prosecutor last week to discern the possible links between the trade unionist and local businessmen suspected of money-laundering, which almost led to a general strike by the CGT in defence of their leader, Moyano said “Workers know who is who here, and who defends their interests and who doesn’t.”

Furthermore, Moyano charged against the Clarín media group pointing that “in spite of Clarín media conglomerate attacks on my person, people doesn’t believe them anymore.”

Moyano also remarked that if he is being under a constant attack it is because his force is trying to “deepen the political discussion in a way that has never been done before”.

“We are not here just to discuss workers’ salary floors, working conditions, and health insurance, we are here to take a further step and eradicate poverty from this country. That’s why we need a workers’ representative at the Government House”, insisted the organized labour leader who has been a crucial ally for the Kirchner administrations since 2003.

If this was a beauty contest which one would be your choice.
1, the charistamatic sophisticated thinking woman.
2, the fox with glasses sitting and waiting to pounce.
