A Falkland Islander will be joining the ranks of the privileged few at the Royal Wedding of the Prince William and Catherine Middleton in Westminster Abbey on April 29. Read full article
Wonder if Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has been invited, nope I was forgetting we only invite people with influence in the world to our Royal Weddings and funerals.
8 Oh no your invitation must have got lost in the post. What a shame.
11 Hope not but you are unfortunately correct. The boys in blue will be out in force and others will be watching and mingling but it is a sick, sad old World.
@ will represent the Falkland Islands as a British Overseas Territory.
BRITISH OVERSEAS TERRITORY. I do not understand when they say: our country. King, Prince, overseas territories, all concepts of the eighteenth century. Rule Britannia!
16.... I think you're confusing sovereign state with country....nugget! but by all means keep doing it, it only just goes to show how distant from planet earth Argentines are on this issue :)
Must admit that I watched the link at (20) after your positive comment… Refreshing video.
You have kind of a good taste on youtube material............
But that’s more than it can be said about your taste for fizzy waters:
Brown Brother's Moscato !!!
OMG………Girl……… O….....M…….....G………………....
21 Islolde
Its going to be a great party for Wills and Kate and the British Family of Nations. Street parties are being organised and we are all really looking forward to it. Are you guys in the Falklands doing anything to celebrate?
jajaja its incredible how this british thinks they are the center of the world. who the hell wanted to go to that shit of wedding, in fact who the hell is getting married, do you think we are looking what the UK is doing every time? no, actually the uk press and country is putting more atenttion to argentina than argentina to the UK, but of curse the poor brits still thinks they are importants, cuac, if i were you i would be worried to not get fired to finance libia's war, oh wait they already did it jaja
24 Oh dear, bloody useless Argentine Post again. Your invitation hasn't arrived has it?
No need to be so bitter, watch it on the telly or if you haven't got a telly listen to it on the Radio. If you haven't got Radio then perhaps travel to Brazil or Chile, two extremely well advanced nations.
GSQ
jaja with that name you should to be serious but must to be sarcasm right? watch the wedding in the TV? do you think we care about that?? my godness you are more dumb than a already thought you were
@24 & 26, Searinox.what a miserable, negative person you are.
@22 Think, where have you tried that wine, Cher Think? Didn't think it would be available in Argentina.lts from Australia. We used to get it in PNG. lts not fizzy, more fruity. You can taste the passionfruit.
ltalian Tosti Moscato is good too.
@30Think, well you say what you like. l like it. l don't pretend to be a wineexpert. l just drink what l like and l like BB's Moscato. l have had quite a bit of so-calledspecial wines & l didn't like them. Too sour or bitter, e.g. Chardonay.& other high priced muck. We used to pay 20Kina a bottle(approx £5)in PNG.
They make a very drinkable Rosé as well. Why don't you like thatWINE m'sieur?
@32 Yes, man..........
You said.....l probably would like that Australian beverage-does that mean that you haven't tried it?
lts mainly made from yellow grapes with other fruit(such as passionfruit)added. lf its not wine, then what is it. lts wine to me.
Ribena is made from blackberries and is non-alcoholic, we gave it to our children. What is Julmust?
We have obviously ran into a intellecto-semantic, class-idiosyncratic, gender-cultural problem.
Like when WestisBest wouldn’t understand my math’s because the dots and commas weren’t set the Anglo way.
Happily, my Mom taught me to be sweet and indulgent to all other ethnicities, classes and genders; so…………… you may continue calling It wine if you so prefer :-)
l don't think that we have a problem, you have implied that you haven”t tried BB's Moscato so how can you judge? this drink is made mainly from grapes so it must be wine(l know some wines like Saki are made from rice etc). l don't really care anyway, l like it & l'll continue drinking it when l can. You, my lad can drink whatever you like.
lf Julmust is anything like coke or pepsi then l won't like it. Cannot abide those drinks. But if l ever get the chance l will try it just to see what its like. We used to get a Swiss non-alcoholic beer in S.E.Asia called Birell. Not too bad, drinkable. You should have listened a lot more to your Mum.
Anyway don't think they'll be drinking Argentinian wine at the Royal Wedding.
Hey Tinka why not apply to visit our beautiful Islands and watch the Royal Wedding.... You could meet Isolde and take a few wine tasters without spitting. Maybe one of the Islanders could take a few shots............ and post the photos here. Who knows you could have a lot in common perhaps a lot more than anybody might think.
We have lots in common..............
We share, the same winds, the same skies, the same longings…….
Any Islander that has driven on our gravel roads, been in our small rural communities or visited our estancias knows…………….
Nothing like the personal touch though, is there? Get yourself over there, introduce yourself, press the flesh. What have you got to lose? You know it makes sense.
I even offered an sensible business proposition with lots of Personal Touch to Lewis Clifton and Monty69.
She didn't want to Press the Flesh
She turned it down…:-(
And thats it, is it? A couple of knock backs and you give up?
Here's me thinking Argentinians were tough, macho types who can get on in all types of environments and climates, when in reality you're a bunch of weeping willows that give up at the least sign of resistance.
Impossible to reason with those Cromwellian Puritans, who disrespect hard working women, the oldest profession on Earth and many other of Gods gifts to mankind……
As an Argentine living in London I have bought the best M&S and Waitrose to celebrate the Royal Wedding. Left the Fortnum and Mason for other more important occasion. Can you get those stuff down there? Let me guess, probably not, to expensive, right? Especially now that oil has proven to be unfeasible and when ocean resources are running out! God save the Queen!

Apr 17th, 2011 - 09:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0That puzzles me too, country??? Do they even know what constitutes a country??
I'd bet... if you were to look through their dictionaries the word sovereign is probably crossed out.
Marvin you are almost there, England is a country, but it isn't a Sovereign country, that might be a clue you could grasp at.
Apr 17th, 2011 - 11:05 pm - Link - Report abuse 016.... I think you're confusing sovereign state with country....nugget! but by all means keep doing it, it only just goes to show how distant from planet earth Argentines are on this issue :)

Apr 18th, 2011 - 09:19 am - Link - Report abuse 0Do you....? I think not.
A country is a geographical area. Where as a nation is a cultural mass of people and a state political body.
Just living on land constitutes them living in a country.
