Since Nestor hated the IMF, the present government and CFK would lose face in an election year by replying to IMF recommendations . As usual, the Argentine govt. will stay silent because the foot is already in it's mouth.

4, xbarilox, do you even think before you post?

Maybe it is up to the Argentine government to decide, not the “IMF”.

Maybe the same people who now criticize the current government and say they could do better, are the same people who drove Argentina into bankruptcy, the same people who gave away state-owned operations to foreign companies, the same people who mismanaged each and every opportunity to handle the country's debt.

Did you think about that xbarilox? Or are you one of those people? Maybe your daddy?

Most agencies with names that start with the letter “I” as in “International” were founded by countries with the most influence, and for their best interest.

IMF... Argentina is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

And for that matter NEITHER IS SOUTH AMERICA

Well, normally South American news agencies don't need to resort to gossip, these are not even real issues, not in South America.

You wouldn't even think of discussing the IMF in Argentina, no one gives a shit.

But yeah... lets look for a different site then we can let the Brits rant by themselves and shove their propagandist Mercocrap back up their collective colonial asses.

Yes, it would be really good if people of ALL the countries of South America had the confidence in their own personal safety such that they could criticise their own governments etc *in their own national press online posting service*, in the same tones that they use here on Mercopress.

Unfortunately, in some countries, individuals would be tracked down and the usual S.A. 'sanctions' would be applied to life and limb.

It is good to have Mercopress, a site for sounding-off against the corruptions and illegalities of your leaders, where you can do so in personal safety.

What in the hell are you talking about??

You are such an OLD BIGOT.

@ 11 “in some countries individuals would be tracked down...” in this one for example, but they do it all the time if you talk truth on this government and Cristina or Néstor, they say you're a traitor.
I once said something in University of Buenos Aires (UBA) about this government and its deeds and I got insults and threats, professors were there too, and they told me things like “who do you think you are, wanker, what do you think we do all day, scratch our balls?” We were talking about protests and “escraches” and I only said something like “throwing stones is not a good idea, why don't we just talk to them?” lol and I wasn't beaten only because I look like I'm 14 years old, I believe they thought I was not even 18 years old lol You can't talk against these people in public, they will eat your entrails while calling you anti-patria.

And you don't give a damn about Argentina, you're just here to talk trash about CFK, that's all you ever do... every single post. The article can be about... fake Chinese sunglasses, CFK's fault!! lol

You're a bigger clown than the Brits

Has anybody actually though how and why the IMF came to Argentina?

They don't 'just turn up' (like the Spanish Inquisition (Monty Python)).

Somebody must have asked them to benchmark inflation rates.
Somebody must have asked them to come.
Somebody must have asked for an IMF loan.

If not the Argentine Government, then who?

Spanish was too hard for Mercopress, being purely British that is.

I totally get it... it's alright, we have our own unbiased sources in Spanish. : P

Boudou is in the U.S. at this moment with 41 “economic” experts from the K government, meeting with the IMF.
