Wow- 40% of the population have to live on the daily equivalent total of LESS than one hours basic labourers pay here in the Falklands! That IS serious - and they expect us to join them?!!!
This matters much more than all the diatribe and chuckles no doubt shortly to appear on Desire,s Ninky well which was NOT dry - just not enough to be viable but shows that the good stuff has a fair chance of being there - just a bit more east than most were initially looking, as Rockhopper have already found.

nitrojuan and xbarilox will surely have a “plausible” explaination on how a “developped nation like Argentina” has 40% of its people living with 800 pesos a month = 195 USD). Gosh, thats just even a bit mor than HALF OF THE MINIMUM wage in the inequal Chile...

I've never been denying poverty, actually, I've been always telling the truth about poverty in Argentina, if you want to say something different it is your problem. Those who support this government don't live in Argentina, Think, Yul, Martin Fierro and the others. It is easy to say good things about Cristina de Kirchner when you don't live in Argentina.

This is in Retiro - Buenos Aires these days:

@ 8 Hello Yul, I'm sorry for the mistake man, I wanted to say
I(mbecile), he's an Argentine living in Canada and talks wonders about Cristina de Kirchner. I want to see her in prison, that would be awesome, but if you kidnap her, just make sure to feed pigs her body, they eat all kinds of garbage including her body.

    what an severe comment !

all politicians are the same at all countries, unfortunately ...
their officials rules everthings not politicians.

South America is beatiful place ...but... abused by some international
secret services with different projects....similar in Africa !

Argentina's basic principal problem has been the general security
in other words , this country is not a member of big military pact like Nato...this produce the hesitation, insecurity,irritability...around.
this factors reverberate into internal system causes up some caos...

If I were admin in South America I would build a Military Pact
before Mercosur ...to discipline the region.
If you think this approach We are ready to assist you for SAMO !
SAMO ( South America Military Organization)

@ 10 “South America is a beautiful place” We all know that already, but Argentina's basic principal problem are corrupt governments, greedy people, hence the expression “as greedy as a pig” ( this is from Snatch lol, but it's true). It's not like we are precisely the “Lamb of God” lol, but yes, our governments have always been corrupt and these are the results, extreme poverty, people starving to death, high rates of homicide, etc. etc. Just watch this video of a man stabbing a 22 year old man in the neck in Hospital Santojanni yesterday, people do these things because they know that justice in Buenos Aires is just a memory. Please, don't tell that these things happen in other parts in this planet, I know that, but this happens everyday in this country, and the government couldn't help it, I know, but at least they could try lol, but they don't care. People feel they can do anything because law is a joke.

It's not severe, well, it is, poor pigs, they don't deserve that treatment.

but why? Argentina has plenty of resources, has good farmland and a lot of minerals. ln 1900 you probably had the highest living standard in the world.

in the 60ies and also later, Argentinians also gave brazilian despective names and called them to “come down from the trees”.

Seems that Brazilians did accept that advise...

Brasil is more realistic country than Argentina .
Brasil has hybrid culture,Argentina has not .
Brasil has flexible people, Argentina has not .
Brasil oriented herself to America continent, Argentina did not.
