”Falklands’ oil companies contract more sophisticated exploration rig”
    Chuckle chuckle

Who are they trying to fool?
The Leiv Eiriksson is LESS sophisticated than the Eirik Raude!
The Leiv Eiriksson is a clear downgrading in respect to the Eirik Raude!

Think - when did you become an oil rig engineer? I had a nice flight to Korea last October next to a rig engineer. Perhaps he was working on those four Drill Ships.

The tech spec of the rig wasnt the most interesting thing in this RNS. I thought the line ”adds more certainty to our drilling timetable and also flexibility, given its potential availability, after the firm drilling program has been completed”.

Looks like this rig will be around for longer that initially planned. Things are getting interesting. For us that is, it is bugger all to do with Argentina!

So, you haven't found enough oil to make this whole oil fiasco possible... because the rigs used are not sophisticated enough?

    Is that the issue?

“We believe the Leiv Eiriksson offers improved technical capabilities”

I suspect there isn't much to find down there, and if there is you people don't have the means to extract it or process it.

But keep at it, we love it when you waste money.

    Chuckle Chuckle……………..

Lets hope that both, the Greenlandish bad luck and the Greenpeace people, follow this rig all the way down to the Argentinean South Atlantic.

Apparently, Think has now claimed the entire South Atlantic on behalf of his country, no doubt in a year's time it will be reported in a newspaper somewhere and someone in Argentina will read it, tell the Peronists, and the Argentine Government will announce to the World that Think had the Authority of the Argentine Government in making this legitimate claim as the Appointed Governor of the South Atlantic...sounds familar.

Whether Think survives his subsequent piracy of any US ships that might be in the South Atlantic only time will tell.
