Argentine shale deposits are 'dirty' gas - pollution & high cost. Billions (?) of investment needed - which Argentina can hardly afford. Involvement in trade with the arab world is more important than keeping happy a provincial Governor. But the quid pro quo for the gas deal is? Selling off more of Argentina to foreigners?
