Four Latin American countries, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico, have been identified among the seven most important countries on the UN Human Rights Council, in a report by the Human Rights Watch organisation. Read full article

    The Human Rights Council , free to do a proper job,
    or are other powerfull forces pulling their strings.

    It's good to see the USA congratulated by Human Rights Watch for making such a powerful and good contribution to world human rights.

    It's bad to see how China and Russia block the world development of human rights whenever it is in their interests so to do.

    And it's good that four of the seven 'good minnows' are Latin American nations, even though their individual records in human rights may not survive much scrutiny - eg. Calderón's Mexico.
