The chemotherapy impacts “did not affect any vital organ”.

There are more vital organs down there than just his 'manhood' - which may or may not be vital to him,
but it is certainly possible for both the cancer and the treatment to affect this group of organs.
It will not be just his red cell count that is diminished, but also his sperm count.
And unlike blood cells that can be - like for Tour de France cyclists - augmented, there is no available augmentation (or replacement) of testes production once the germ cells are destroyed.

Still, should he pull through, there is always adoption.

Well, If Chavez is in love with Venezuela and the fact that he is seriously sick, his best option is not to run for president in 2012.

A country with an inflation rate of over 30%, its unemployment around the same rate and with short -term obligations to meet in Billions of Dollars all requieres great deal of physical activity and mental as well, and being in poor health will consolidate to economic and social huge deterioration of Venezuela.

It might be that Chavez will not die . . .

In this case the Unasur re-armament might need to be with pointy stakes, silver bullets and garlic cannons.

. . . . and yes, I thoroughly enjoyed my overnight ”Shaun of the Dead'.
