..'while Latin American countries are guided by an ideology and obsession with the past, Asian countries are guided by pragmatism and are obsessed with the future”.
Couldn't have summed it up any better. I just hope that all there were listening AND taking it in. Somebody needs to show the article to CFK and tell her what it means for Argentinia.

'Bzurovsky also pointed out that uncertainty is particularly insistent regarding Mercosur which “is far distant from what we can expect or believed we could expect”. '

'Atlantic' South America misses the 'Developed Nations' boat in part because of Argentina's crackpot unworldliness.

'Atlantic' South America misses the 'Developed Nations' boat in part because of Argentina's crackpot unworldliness.

And for a good reason, because that “boat” is sinking, because of corrupt “Technocrats” (goldman sachs players) and sheeps who are still dancing on the deck, acting everything is alright.

Argentina does not represent whole south america and they never will, but I do understand where that in the US left wing ideologue is talking about. In Argentina mr Oppenheimer is a “right wing bogus free trader ideologue”. He's playing both sides very well.

    Fido,

my argument was about being 'Developed', not about the relative merits/demerits of anybody's route to development.

The Article is about the paradigm shift - and altered trading perspectives - from Atlantic rim to Pacific rim.
Thus my comment refered to 'Atlantic' South America, and the adverse influence Argentina has been having on its track towards Development.
Mercosur “could have been a Contender” - now, only Brasil might make it big, but only if it can slough off the sheet-anchor called Argentina.
