GB Pound (the currency of the UK) UP 3% this morning against the Euro.
Reason: flight from risk to save haven.
Clue, the UK is not in the eurozone, we don't have the Euro as our currency. Now do you get it?
Got what wrong again. The stock market. You need to bear in mind that Europe has now made progress on fiscal matters. That will have an influence on confidence. The currency has improved for the UK as there is less of a risk to it,that's why the UK stayed out of the eurozone. But that doesn't mean the UK is better placed in the long term

Dec 14th, 2011 - 01:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0If the Germans are correct the problem will be solved,
Nice to see the other European countries are very confident,
We are not,
They caused this mess; let them clean it up, instead of blaming everything on the British
Just see what happens next year, when the others realise they have lost control over their finances
And the Germans have all the cash
#5 I agree only time will tell, but it will not be a dramatic event that will reveal the conclusion, more a gradual revelation
Dec 14th, 2011 - 04:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0However(as always) I wasn't aware that the UK were blameless in the causes of the crisis.I seem to remember that Gordon Brown was criticised heavily for 'the mess' that Cameron inherited and that the deflation of the economy is caused by Gordon brown.Just a thought!

Dec 14th, 2011 - 06:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0its a well known fact, that france would like to get closer to germany,
as she does not trust her, and never has, [being invaded twice]
and germany is not that keen on them either,
but both are not keen on the british, [envy] they would strive to dismantle everything british, and whitwash it,
we have nothing in common, and want nothing in common,
europe will collaps and they will try to blame us, despit the fact, we had nothing to do with it,
#7 France supports the British position on the Malvinas question.Be careful with your friends.
