China ratified support for Argentina’s sovereignty claim over the Falkland Islands. The message was delivered last week by Chinese President Hu Jintao's special envoy Jiang Shusheng and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and is part of the reciprocal policy in support of Taiwan as a province of China. Well i doubt the USA will be very pleased to hear that argentina is supporting China's claim over taiwan which is an independent sovereign state. I bet taiwan isn't happy either. Looks like they are willing to make enemies with with said 2 nations just to get support from china, who clearly said “the governments of Argentina and UK to resume “Malvinas negotiations” thus complying with the principles and objectives of the UN Charter and the General Assembly resolutions,” Funny how its Argentina that is ingnoring the rights granted to the islanders under the UN Charter, and that the UN resolutions telling the UK to nagotiate with argentina are not binding and contary to the islanders wishes.

    Basically this is nothing but political niceties as china knows the islanders have the right to self determination just like the people of Taiwan has whether China likes it or not. So their is nothing in this other than the fact Argentina is getting so desperate they are willing to make enemies out of taiwan and the USA in the process.

    while EU keep punching the old finacial demegogues schemes for solutions Argentina plants the seeds for a healthy economy with China and the UAE, it would be good to get India and Pakistan on board. no healthy economy can ever get ritch on the gains of the few but on the labor of the whole, we have to move away from international dictatorships trying to force constitutional changes to locals cultures if we want to preserve local markets. globalization as a whole was always in play ever since the times of empires and monarchys, China economy will continue to grow do to the demand from more then 1 billion population who happen to love rice, fish and soy, Argentine's will do well if they invest in a fishing fleet or dry cargo ships.

    LOl chinas economy will continue to grow. Clearly you not heard the news lately with all the closing and empty factories and increasing unemployment in china, not to mention the deserted cities. I think you will find china is facing major economic slow down and could very well collaspe in on itself in the next few years if its not brought under control. Something long predicted by economist i might add.

    Teaboy who cares what the USA thinks anymore the Gringo century is over.As for Chinas imminent collapse its wishful thinking on your behalf.The reality is the Chinese state has so much foreign money in its banks its only real challenge is the contradictions of the Communist state.
    The realities of globalization are moving in South America and Asias favour,North America and Europe are declining but unable to face the new realities but they will.

    You children never learn do you,
    Taiwan, is not only independent, but she is also very powerful, as a matter of fact,
    Taiwan could at this very moment in time take on Argentina, and Brazil and beat you both hands down,
    ;[bet you didn’t know that did you]
    China , ah yes, she supports you,
    China will not send you anything but her best wishes,
    But you are right of course; she is growing and getting more powerful,
    And so is Brazil,
    But two things you should ask your selves, first, before all the celebrations start,
    1, why has big mighty powerful china, not invaded little Taiwan, before now
    After all she is only inches from her boarder,

    2, and just how does the great Argentina expect to help china in any way,
    Without going to war.

    Mmmmmmmm the celebrations don’t seem so great now do they .
    .

    The authoritarians always stick together. CFK and her government also supports the Chinese slavery in Tibet. Nice one Cristina :)

    @9 xbarilox: Can you explain why is CFK authoritarian?

    Where you see authoritarianism I see the will of the 54% of Argentinians who voted her, and voted her to DO SOMETHING, not to let corporations do whatever they want.

    @10 fermin,
    1) She bullied Uruguay & will not take worthless Pesos back.
    2) She is attempting to bully the Falklands.
    3) She's ugly & made of plastique.
    That help?

    @10

    No, 54% of argentinians did not vote for her, it was 54% of one third of the population that actually bothered to vote or actually had access to ballot boxes so they could vote.
