YPF finds oil south of Mendoza; source estimated in 40 billion barrels

Energy company YPF announced the finding of conventional oil at the Cuenca Neuquina, in the Chachahuén bloc, at the Southern area of Mendoza province, that is equivalent to 40 million barrels. Read full article

    I agree. Once Cristina de Kirchner Chavez has her own oil she will stop trying to steal the oil from TFI.

    In 2009 Argentina imported just under 20,000 barrels of oil a DAY, 3 wells producing 500 a day isn't even the day's interest they are paying on the $ they are borrowing to buy the oil.
    It's a non event they're just trying to create good news to cover up all the bad news that is coming out. Like they're tryimg to buy Nat Gas import contracts because the want to pay in 180 days instead of on delivery. Plus they want to pay below market rates. Good Luck! Who's going to do that?

    I think the headline should be 40 MILLION not billion and given the day rate that would be pushing it.
