The government doesn't owe you anything. Get over it and move on.

@ #4 - Sir Rod... with your logic we should never pay any taxes. Governments (could) exist to assist the greater good of citizens when events conspire to cause unexpected harm. We buy auto or health insurance by pooling our assets against that possible loss / harm. Governments can be that pooling of assets to assist with events too large for any one individual (farmer) to handle.

Again I ask, if ”government(s) don't owe you anything”, then why have them at all.

[note] I am a libertarian anarchist, so I agree with your premise in principle. However, the other side of the equation still needs to be addressed.

Everyone should pay taxes, that being said, i know so many farmers that use fraudulent methods to avoid paying taxes. The guy who used to rent my house owes to ARBA over $500.000 pesos in taxes and that is only the beginnin. People like these think they are over the law when they clearly aren't.
I'am so fed up with the paisanos complaining about everything, as soon as i can i'll be getting the hell out of this town.

If there is any harm or loss, ask the insurance company to take charges over any damages, not the government.

It seems that the guy in charge is so out of touch I don't think he can have ever been on a production farm.
