Chilean Foreign Affairs minister Alfredo Moreno denied rumours that Argentina had requested Chile to join a blockade of the Falklands Islands and also reassured that the government of President Cristina Fernandez has not questioned the commercial air link between Santiago and the Islands. Feb 13th, 2012 - 07:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0Obviously the whole thing about stopping the flights was just a figment of the Botox Bitch's pea sized fascist brain.... ho hum......
Feb 13th, 2012 - 07:56 am - Link - Report abuse 0Well Frank you are the geniius.Just occasionally even once could you post with even a hint of wit rather than your never ending stupidities
Feb 13th, 2012 - 08:18 am - Link - Report abuse 0If she had seen more support from Ban Ki and co she would would have pushed for it, But as we saw the Falklands arent really the UN's top priority so she is back tracking
Feb 13th, 2012 - 08:55 am - Link - Report abuse 0Frank does have a perfectly reasonable point. I think that the question should be when will the idinenous peoples of the occupied colonial territory now knon as Argentina be permitted full sovereignty over their illegally confiscated and occupied lands and natural resources. I think that matter needs to be addressed before dealing with the previously unoccupied Falkland Islands.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 09:38 am - Link - Report abuse 0Great lyrics on this song and so pertinent

O Gara...I guess you are the perfect person to judge of witless Mercopress comments. You are afterall the King of nonsense.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 02:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Repeating the last paragraph for truth:
Feb 13th, 2012 - 02:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Argentina has never mentioned that she is intent in blockading the Falklands but all the measures taken so far: dumping fisheries and oil agreements; banning charter flights; demanding all vessels heading for the Falklands should check with the Argentine Coast Guard; threatening companies with interests on both sides of the South Atlantic and barring Falklands’ flagged vessels from regional ports, plus the constant challenge of vessels flying the Falklands flag steaming in international waters indicates something exactly the opposite.
I still don't understand how anyone can credit Ms Kirchner's portrayal of herself and/or Argentina as the victim of British militarisation given these measures. William wandering around in a search and rescue helicopter does nothing to hurt Argentina, and neither does replacing an old warship with an up-to-date one. But the actions described at the end of the article seem purpose-built to hurt the islanders in whatever petty ways the current Argentine administration can get at them.
3 O gara
Feb 13th, 2012 - 02:38 pm - Link - Report abuse 0No one could make less sense than you. Fake Irish name, fake nonsense, the worst command of written English I've read on here so far. You make Daffy Duck sound normal.
Here's on I made earlier especially for you Helber or is it O'Gara?

Sit down in your stained armchair, next to your pc, with your alcohol and your cheap Argentine tobacco, coughing up flem and dream of the Malvinas and all those unarmed children you or your heroic military helped disappear in your earlier years.
It's hardly a media rumor when CFK explicitly stated it at the UN (http://www.buenosairesherald.com/article/79452/cfk-threatens-uk-with-banning-stops-from-chilean-flights-heading-to-malvinas-islands) thereby making this guy look like a massive liar.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 02:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I think the Argentinian Ministry of Truth (ArgMiniTru) is beginning to get confused.
Oh Sr Moreno, if this is an accurate report of your statement, you are in big trouble. You have used the f word. Falklands. Will your president be allowed to give you a dressing down? Or will CFK phone you herself? Or leave it to the Tinman?
Feb 13th, 2012 - 03:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0KFC is going to be upset... She'll be taking Chile to the UN Decolonisation Committee for that one after a little more historical revisionism.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 03:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@11 Yes, I remember watching her make that speech to the UN and she made the threat about the LAN flight. I am guessing that she changed her mind when it was pointed out to her how bad it would make her government look to the rest of the world. That and I am certain Chile would not play ball. That pantomime she staged last week was in anticipation of something more but I suspect the script had to change at the last moment, hence everyone calling it pointless.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 03:43 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Working for CFKC must be like working for the character of Queenie in Blackadder II. She screams, stamps her feet and her lackies run in four directions at once to try to please her, all the while knowing her ideas are bonkers.
@14 Failing to please KFC is more likely to have you disappear and end up in room 101, if you take historical precedent as any measure.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 04:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0What concerns me here, is this guy doesn't look very stupid and surely he knows that she stood up and said this in the UN? Surely he knows that this all came out of KFC's mouth and not press speculation? Surely he knows that this happened? So for him to go out and pretend it didn't happen is what? like what is that? Because I don't know what it is.
Then he starts talking about 'demands for sovereignty' and expects the British-FI folks to negotiate against demands? What's that???
Anti Fascist 2.Could you just for once try and have a logical discussion rather than vent your sad frustrations on us.Just try and discuss without venting spleen on every single occasion you post.If you find that impossible it would be better to go somewhere else.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 05:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Last paragraph while not wrong shows are very strong bias from the author of the article. He's giving an opinion, which IMO, newspapers are supposed to. They should only give information, biased or not, but the opinion should be up to the reader.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 05:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Clearly distancing Chile from the dispute, and any further action against the Islands.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 06:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Interesting that document declassification is on their radar, wonder what were are going to find out about Chile during the war.
Argintinian policy of escalation seem to be leaving them isolated, even by close neighbours.
Lies and more lies,
Feb 13th, 2012 - 08:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Exposure and more exposure,
And still the indoctrinated believe them,
The day she takes em all to hell, she will just tell them they are going to a BBQ
And they will follow.
.
Your Commente, rumour has it that CFK did try to put the economic blackmail screws on Lan before her big speech - they said no - that left her with bugger all to say really! Even she is not so stupid as to directly withdraw the overflight permit as that would have all fingers pointed at her Govt directly and could result in Aerolinias getting bans flight bans in Europe etc as well.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 09:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Hi, I'm the Chilean Foreign Affairs minister Alfredo Moreno and I'm going to tell you some bare-face lies about KFC.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 09:44 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Hmm... low grade south american politics.
KFC vomit features.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 10:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0She has a face like a chicken laying razors.
@22 You're certainly not going to draw me into a conversation about her botox-soaked looks, nor her son's chubby jowls.
Feb 13th, 2012 - 10:37 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Here is a film all the nationalist children of Argentina should watch. It should be compulsory education in Argentine schools to learn about their country recent history, instead of teaching lies about the Falkland Islands (the imaginary Malvinas - which Argentina has NEVER had sovereignty over).
Feb 14th, 2012 - 02:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0That something like this was allowed to happen is a crime against humanity, 50,000-100,000 raped, tortured, mutilated, murdered and disappeared (Borges). Unborn babies ripped out of their mothers wombs, young children taken from their parents, who were murdered by the heroic Argentine military.
Anyone of you born in the 70's? I hope your lucky enough to know who your real parents are...

It's a film everyone should watch. Feel shame because the specter of fascism still grips Argentina and as Martino Moreno said If publishing the truth is forbidden, then lies, ignorance and poverty will follow.
Argentina's history is still being written by Moreno's assassins.
