Surely a class action suite would be more appropriate rather than morbidly turning this into a PR event for the popularist government.

Will the government be using the no-win-no-fee formula?

We probably built the railway in 1880.
Bet little maintenance has been done since they took them over in about 1945.
A wonder we haven't been blamed for the crash.!

“There are no words to describe our pain and in particular the President’s”.

Not very tasteful. Shouldn't it read:

”There are no words to describe our pain but we realise that this is nothing compared with those who are injured and those who have lost their loved ones.”

I like Cristina but if the government was really keen to sort out the rialways, they would have nationalised them in the last 9 years and brought in the correct controls with regards to health and safety.

    2. They are still using some of the original rail cars that were put in by the British! In fact with a little search you could find a K minister talking about upgrading them a few years ago but I don't think they got all of them.

I suppose instantly announcing yourself as the chief plaintiff does help reduce the chances you'd be labelled the chief defendant.

@5 I'm guessing that's the other major issue, as at the moment they don't want anyone seeing them as being the futtbucks who causes this train crash through buying personal property rather than investing in safety.

Kirchner: “Yes, our underinvestment ultimately caused the train crash, but can we get back to my 10-points-of-dirge on Las Malvinas please”

Well, you can bet the government will win the case... and take most of the spoils, leaving little or nothing for those injured and the families of those killed.

@7 “We've won the court case for the families of those who lost their lives in the rail accident, and the monies will be used to make a new station at the new Kirchner Plc housing development”

    Hmm..

The government is the victim here and any compensation must be paid to CFKChavez as she is the one feeling the pain here. NO ONE ELSE! *stamps foot”

The train clearly prevented F.cK from getting to her Botox treatment and so it's only fair the government represents her (and a few others) and gets unlimited damages for her to spend on property and shoes.

Any half decent president would of made a public speech mourning the victims who perished and pay tribute to the firemen and ambulance service for saving lives but I guess that would mean creating a speech from her brain not a pre-written speech she usually reads out. I mean imagine how her mind works “ must gett he island MUST GET THE ISLAND” oh how terrible a train crash “ MUST GET THE ISLAND”
