Extremely rare beaked whales filmed for the first time ever in Australian waters
Australian researchers on Thursday revealed they had filmed a pod of extremely rare Shepherd's beaked whales for the first time ever.The Australian Antarctic Division team was tracking blue whales off the coast of Victoria state in January when they spotted the reclusive mammals, which are so rarely seen that no population estimates of the species exist.

Brazil highways’ maintenance to the private sector on 10 year contracts
After selling concessions for the expansion and operation of three major airports and a highway earlier in 2012, Brazil is preparing a plan to sell 10-year highway maintenance contracts without tolls, a newspaper said on Thursday.

Argentine government will act as main plaintiff in train crash investigation
The Argentine government announced Thursday it would act a plaintiff, in defence of the public interest, in the investigation of the Wednesday train crash that killed 50 people and left over 700 injured.
